Palm Pre Might be on the Market April 30th
The Palm Pre might be available in the store on the 30th of April. That’s what the CEO of an American IT-company reckons. He is currently doing beta tests with the device. Palm always said that a new smartphone will come out “in the first part of 2009″.
Jim Van, CEO of Logicomm, revealed the release date of the Palm Pre on Twitter. The messages are not available anymore, cause he marked them as ‘private’. According to a website exclusively about the Palm Pre, Van said the release date would be on the 30th of April.
It’s very unlikely that Palm would reveal the release date to testers. It’d be handy for Palm to bring it out as soon as possible, though. The amount of products sold has been decreasing for the last few quarters, and the company is loosing alot of money. Palm hopes that the new Palm Pre will save the company.
Palm demonstrated the new Pre smartphone and its included WebOs during the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas in January 2009. The device might be available in stores in the USA on the 30th of April, but the release date for Europe is still unknown. Sprint will sell the devices in the USA. In Europe, it will probably be Vodafone selling the new smartphones.
