Solutions to Disk Cannot be Read From or Written to iPod Error
These are valid solutions to the problem as stated in the title. You may find yourself with this error when you attempt to sync your iPod in iTunes.
First of all I would like to say you can visit the Apple website for help and info.
Solution 1:
Make sure your iPod firmware is up-to-date and that your iTunes version is up-to-date.
Solution 2:
Attempt a Restore on your iPod, quite obvious and a lot of people would not want to do this because this takes a while and removes all media from the iPod.
Solution 3:
This is the one that worked for me. Try inserting your iPod into different USB ports, sometimes you need to close iTunes before doing this.
Solution 4:
Un-plug your USB mouse or another USB device currently inserted into a USB port straight after you click the Sync button.
Solution 5:
Click Start>Control panel>System>Hardware Tab> Device Manager Button>Highlight your computer name>Then click Scan for hardware changes button on the toolbar at the top.
Solution 6:
This may be quite obvious, your iPod could be damaged or corrupt and may need to be taken back to Apple.
Solution 7:
Ensure that the USB port is clean and there are no loose connections.
Solution 8:
Malware and other third-party files may have corrupted iTunes or your iPod. Re-install iTunes and perform a Restore with the latest iTunes software.
Solution 9:
If you happened to have a jailbroken iPod Touch/iPhone or were in the process of jailbreaking try running the “Boot.bat” file. I believe this comes with jailbreak tools, if the process is completed successfully the iPod should be re-booting and after that you may continue using or jailbreaking your iPod Touch/iPhone.
Thank-you for reading and I truly hope that your iPod is back to normal.

I really don’t know how to thank you. Weeks I have been trying to fix this and all I had to do was change the USB port…
