Top Five iPod Touch Apps
Top five iPod touch apps.
Hey, you’ve just gotten your iPod touch! Now, what do you do with it? Well, there’s always music, and videos. But, most iPod users would agree that they also get the iPod for it’s games. Now, I’ll explain what games are free and good, and what games are paid games.
Free Apps
1. Tap Tap Revenge 2.6
This awesome app is like the next guitar hero game, except its for the iPod. Sadly, the original version is now a pay app, for 99 cents. You can download music for it, (If you have Wi-Fi) and play on several different stages. Kids, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme. Just as their name suggests, they range from easy to hard. This is a MUST GET app, as its really an enjoyable app. Honestly, you won’t even know time is passing.
2. Well, although it’s a demo, this app’s also pretty cool.
Banner Free
Well, the name explains it. You type something in, and it shows it on a banner. Pretty neat, huh?
3. iThrown
As the name suggests, you “throw” your iPod. Hold the iPod in your hand, and when it counts down to zero, swing your arm as if you’re throwing it. REALLY, don’t throw it. After you “Throw” it, you’ll receive a score of how much meters it would have traveled if you really did throw it. I got a high score of 20 meters, but it’s pretty hard to get higher than that. Comment if you get higher!
4. Baseball superstars 2009 lite, by Gamevil
This is the lite version, so it’s not as great as the full version, but still an excellent game. Instead of playing 9 innings in a normal game, you can only play 3 in the lite. You train your character to become a really good one, and you work hard for your team in My League mode. The game’s only disadvantage is that it might just lag sometimes, especially in a really dire situation. Still, most people agree this is a really really good game.
5. Assasin’s Creed
This game is really awesome… make sure you look for the free version! It’s 3D, and its an RPG game on the iPod, right there! Isn’t it neat? This is one of those games that I really enjoyed playing before I got the Full version. I strongly recommend this game!
So, you’ve seen the free ones, but you have money. So, what do you do? You go to the paid apps, of course! I’ll tell you some good paid apps that you might as well be craving for, so pay attention!
Paid Apps
1. The FULL Assasin’s Creed
This, by far, is one of THE best games I’ve ever played before. Its graphics are simply amazing, and the dialogue is also great. The buttons are very simple and good, so it’s not that hard to understand. The game is really long, I beat it in about a month, playing 30 minutes a day. It’s really great, so I hope you get it!
2. Any of the X-Plane series
Okay, most of you might be asking, what the heck is X-Plane? Well, it’s an airplane simulator. You can choose what plane you want for which flight, and you feel like you really are driving a real plane! The controls are very simple:
On the left, it says Trim and Throt. Throt. is throttle, and trim changes which direction the plane will tilt if you keep the iPod flat. I suggest you leave it alone. On the other side, it says Flap and something else. Anyways, pull both of these down and you slow down, or not gain speed. On the bottom, it has brakes, which are for when the plane is ON the ground, and gear, which is the landing gear. It’s a hard one to master, but it’s reallly, reallllly fun!
3. Pingpong
This game is pretty simple…. but really addicting! I really enjoyed this game, and it’s all about ping pong, for you sport fanatics out there!
4. Soccer 2009
This game…. is amazing. It’s like soccer you play on the PSP, but on the iPod. OK, I admit the graphics aren’t as great, but hey, this is an iPod touch! It’s really simple: There’s an arrowkey pad on the left, and a few buttons on the right. Get the concept? Simple.
5. OK, this is the grand finale….. this game has absolutely astounded me compared to any of the other games, and is really an enjoyable one.
The game is: Pocket God!!!
Synopsis: You’re the god, an unseen force of pure destruction. You control and island inhabited by natives, and you can do whatever you want with them! Whether it’s causing a volcanic eruption, making a dinosaur appear and killing lots of natives, making lightning you zap on natives, or making a killer hurricane. You can also be nice by giving them fish or coconuts! This is really a great game, so I hope you get it!!!
OK, you’ve seen all the games I’ve suggested. Maybe they aren’t as good for you, but I sure hope you get one of these games and really enjoy it! Happy gaming!
