Wet Cell Phones
If your phone happens to get wet, try this.
Okay now I know that cell phone usage has grown over a period of time and everybody, who’s everybody, has one, Mom’s, dad’s, kid’s, grandma’s and even grandpa’s. There are so many different type’s, size’s, shape’s and colors. My favorite of all of the ones I have had was a hot pink Motorola phone. Now I say of all the ones I’ve had because I have terrible luck with phones. I went through at least five phones from the time I started service with one provider til the time I left them which was about a year and a half.
I then switched to another company and have had quite a few with them. Luckily now I have a provider that has a sim card that I can take out and just put into another phone. How cool is that, I can drop it in the toilet and go buy a twenty dollar phone and put my sim card in it and it will work. But to tell you the truth that gets expensive if you do that at least twice a month and most people would say keep your phone out of the bathroom then, lol. But it could actually happen any where. Sit in on the roof of your car then it starts to poor down rain, sit it in your lap while your driving and then when you stop and get out it falls out into a big mud hole, or you simply decide to sling your pants off and toss them in the wash after a late nights party and forget it in there! So if that ever happens and you know it’s gone then try this….
- Take your phone apart… back off, battery out, and if you have a sim card take it out.
- Pour a big bowl of alcohol
- Get you a paper towel or a regular cloth towel
Now you are ready to start…
- Put your phone and all pieces into the bowl of alcohol
- Leave it to soak for about 10 minutes
- Take it out and let it dry out over night
- Put your phone back together and see if it works
Now if you think this won’t work or by chance it will harm your phone worse then by all means don’t try it…not all phones are the same. I know it worked for my husband and myself and a few friends but like I said this will be at your own risk.
