Auctions
Christmas auctions and saving money.
Auctions are a great place to save money, it won’t be long and the Christmas auctions will be starting. I do a lot of my Christmas shopping for my whole family at Christmas auctions. Christmas auctions have all new items that the auctioneers have bought at mass quantities and are auctioned off at a very good savings. For those of you that may have never been to an auction it can be very exciting. When you first arrive you get a number and that is the number you keep through out the auction to bid on items. Many items are auctioned off one at a time with the item going to the highest bidder. At Christmas auctions there is usually more than just one of the same item so when you bid on a certain item (lets say an ipod) you or someone else would start the bid and the bid continues till no one else bids on that item, but with it being a Christmas auction when the bidding stops the auctioneer usually backs up the price and the item will be passed out for less than the actual high bid price. If you get to the auction an hour or two before the auction starts that will give you the opportunity to walk around and look at the many items that will be auctioned off. There are usually table after full of items as well as larger items that are placed on the floor. when you attend an auction be prepared to stay anywhere from four to eight hours but with all the excitement and savings the time goes by quickly. You will be surprised how much you save and also will be surprised about all the things that will be there some things are very unusual items that you might not even think about buying for someone if you were shopping in a store but when you see it at the auction you think “wow that would be perfect for so and so” If you have never tried an auction, try one and see if it isn’t fun and money saving. Auctions aren’t for everyone but you will never know if it is for you unless you try it.
