Nine Memorable and Special Father’s Day Gifts You Can Make

What gift to give to Dad on Father’s Day? Make your own Father’s gift – it is the most special gift you can ever give! This article offers many beautiful tips and ideas.

Here are suggestions for Father’s Day gift that you can easily make, and they cost very little or none at all. It is always the thought that counts. There’s no need to rush and find the most expensive gadgets in the stores. Your Dad will love any of these gifts and will cherish it forever.

  1. A Letter. This is probably the easiest gift to make, and it is the most memorable one. Writing a letter to your Dad is the best way to express how grateful you are having him as your Dad. Instead of putting your letter in an envelope, put it in a box and wrap it with beautiful wrapper paper and ribbons.
  2. A Poem. It is always very touching to receive poems. Your Dad will be very happy to receive a poem from you. Even if you’ve never written a poem before, try writing one and you’ll find how fulfilling it is. Father’s Day only comes once a year and this is the perfect day to let Dad know he means the world to you.
  3. A List that says “The Reasons Why You’re The Best Dad”. Write as many reasons as you can. Your Dad will be really, really happy. You can either handwrite it or type it. It is more special if you handwrite it. And instead of putting it in an envelope, you can put it in a small elegant box. Wrap the box and tie it with elegant colored ribbons. This is more meaningful than any gift you can buy from the store.
  4. Pictures of the 2 of you together, or pictures of your memorable family moments.
  5. Collect little things that represent how your father means to you, and put them in a box. For example: Rock – “Dad, thank you for always being strong for me” Candle“You provide light to me when the world seems dark. You always give me excellent advice and I thank you, Dad.” Book – “Dad you have helped me with all your knowledge. You always teach me everything you know and guide me to be the best person I can be. Thank you so much Dad”.
  6. Make little strips of paper, each one saying “I love you Dad because…..”. Make as many strips as you can. Put these strips in a jar, and ask your Dad to read one strip a day. Everyday your Dad will be looking forward to read it. He can put the jar on his office desk to read one every morning, or on his bed side table to read at night before going to sleep.
  7. Use a blank card and glue a mirror on the inside of the card. Your Dad will see his own image on the mirror when he opens the card. Write underneath the mirror “The Best Dad in the World”.
  8. Make a slide show presentation. Microsoft Powerpoint is a great program to make slide shows. It is very user friendly, and you can easily make a beautiful slide show complete with text, pictures and background music. You can include your pictures with Dad and arrange them in sequence. Make it very meaningful . I’m sure your Dad will be very touched. This is another kind of gift that no amount of money can ever buy.
  9. Take short-videos of each of the family members and ask them to say how great Dad is. Then make a mini movie that Dad can play on the DVD player. Or you can upload it in YouTube and surprise Dad by emailing him the link!
