What Not to Buy: The Five Worst Christmas Gifts
They may be popular but they are pathetic. Here is the list of the worst gifts you should NOT buy for your friends and family this Christmas.

Get ready to plaster on that fake smile. Every year, some of us are the unfortunate recipients to disastrous gifts. What is one person’s treasure is just trashy to someone else, so it’s completely a matter of opinion what gifts are bad. But here’s a compilation of poorly-picked presents that many people do not want to see under the tree this year.
#1: The Snuggie!
This may seem like a perfectly practical gift, but thanks to a horrible commercial, no self-respecting person under the age of 40 wants to be seen in one of these wearable blankets. No doubt some of you are tempted to buy it for someone, as it will fit just about anyone and you can find Snuggies in your local Walgreens at a decent price.
#2 Religious Inspirational Books:
Unless you know for a fact that the recipient is someone who already is an owner of religiously inspired material, you should steer clear of this as a present.
#3 Pajamas:
Pajamas are a tricky thing to buy for a person. I’ve received PJ’s that I’ve loved and worn for years, but I’ve received more PJ’s that I wouldn’t wear if you paid me. Unless you know what the person sleeps in, it’s best if you just avoided buying this gift. Satin pajamas are not loved by all, nor is flannel. When it comes to what you sleep in, people tend to be very picky.
#4 Lawn Ornaments
I don’t know why this has become such a popular gift. I think some people have garden gnomes and other lawn ornaments and love them, so they think everyone else will, too. If the person doesn’t already have some sort of figurines on their lawn already, then they probably aren’t about to start anytime soon.
#5 Movies & CDs
This used to be the perfect gift for most people. As long as you know their tastes in movies or music, you were bound to make them happy with a DVD or CD. The problem now all comes down to format. With the regular practice of downloading music on MP3 Players, many people have given up on CDs. Plus, chances are that the music you want to get them, they already have. Same is true for movies. Do they own a Blue Ray? If so, then they are sure to only want Blue Ray movies. Or if they have NetFlix, they may have moved away owning a movie collection because they can download just about everything they want to see.
I’ll admit it. This is a completely negative article. I’m giving you no help on what to get people. But there are thousands of articles all about what you should buy. It’s a lot of pressure trying to find the perfect gift. I say, instead of stressing about finding the best, just take a moment to stop yourself from buying the worst.

If people stopped receiving yard ornaments, my amusement level would drop drastically. How can you enjoy and score yard art if people all of a sudden decide they have developed taste?
