Black Friday Discount Holiday Shopping
Shopping for the Great Discount Prices on Black Friday.
Only a few days more until one of the largest retail shopping days of the year. Retailers hope to generate sales as they kick start the Holiday Shopping Season.
If you go early there will be good deals on many popular items.
I remember back to a few years ago. It was Thanksgiving Day at Marsha’s house. Barb, Marsha, Venus, and I decided to go shopping at Wal-Mart for the amazing sales the next day.
Early the next morning we met at Wal-Mart. I was amazed how many people were actually out and about that early in the morning. I was still half asleep, and delirious I think. I laughed at the reality of all the people waiting as if we were in a race. As we started to make our way through the store, it was like a huge traffic jam had stopped us. We were moving at a snails pace. Finally we did make our way through the store and found some good deals. We also bought things just because they appeared to be a good deal.
This year Wal-Mart is offering more amazing deals… From 5 a.m. until 11 a.m.
$4 Home appliances,
8 GB ipod touch for $195 with a $50 itunes gift card
50 inch Plasma TV $598
And much, much more for the adventurous and brave souls out there.
For people who do plan to go, I have a little bit of advice…
1. Plan before you go.
2. Decide which items you plan to purchase.
3. Prioritize the items of most importance
4. If possible locate them in the store before the sale, (that way you can get to your high priority items first).
5. Try to avoid items that you don’t really plan to buy. (You can get caught in the hype and buy things that you didn’t intend to get.)
6. Wear protective gear. (It can get ugly out there)
As for me, I don’t know if I will brave the crowds for the good deals… I’m still debating.
