Halloween “Banned” in Britain’s Most Haunted Village
Pluckley in Kent, UK has banned Halloween…
It seems that not all places will be celebrating Halloween. The yearly “spooky” traditional event has been banned. Of all the places to be it is Britain’s most haunted village. The reasons given are that locals are tired of vandalism and traffic chaos.

The residents of Pluckley in Kent have simply had enough that their peaceful hamlet is invaded by ghost-hunting revellers each year. According to the locals too much havoc takes place and this ironically has an upsetting effect of the spectres that haunt the village.
Apparently Pluckley is haunted by 12 ghosts. These include a highwayman, a phantom monk, the hanging body of a schoolmaster and a poltergeist known to create mischief in the local pub. Funny but it seems that the majority of the population tend to witness poltergeist type phenomena after a few beers anyway!
The parish council committee has in previous years tried to turn the anticipated disturbance into a night of family fun. This has raised thousands of pounds for charity but the unruly and loud behaviour of people attending has raised alarm bells with the locals.
Police have been drafted in to enforce the ban and keep visitors in good line. It now would seem that this could be Pluckley’s quietest Halloween in years.

In Britain they celebrate Guy Fork’s night more than Halloween I think.
