If dad has a sweet tooth, consider baking and freezing him a large supply of his favorites. Cookies, brownies, loaves and cakes all freeze well and all dad will have to do is thaw them out when he wants some. If dad doesn’t have a sweet tooth, you can do the same thing with savory items such as homemade mini pizzas, quiche, single servings of lasagna. This method provides a gift that will last, rather than cooking a single Father’s Day dinner or wrapping up a single batch of sweets.

Show dad how much you love him all year long. Make dad twelve coupons ( one for each month of the year) for things that you can do around the house, such as washing the car, cutting the grass, raking the lawn or taking out the trash.

Make dad a (or several) music CD made up of all his favorite tunes. If dad has no specific musical preference, consider making themed Cd’s, like summer songs, songs about cars, or songs about dads.

DVD`s

If your computer has a DVD burner, why not burn a few movies about fathers? A few good suggestions: Mrs. Doubtfire, To Kill a Mockingbird, Cheaper by the Dozen and Father of The Bride.

Order dad a subscription to his favorite magazine, such as Popular Mechanics, Sports Illustrated and Golf Digest.
