Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day

Having trouble picking out the right Valentine’s Day gift? This article is sure to help.

As a new online-writer, I spent the first 20 minutes or so of my “career” trying to decide what topic would be fun to write about, and still help other people (since I am a big fan of giving out advice). With Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought “Wow, what a great topic, right?” I know there are many young couples out there wondering what they can get for their girlfriend or boyfriend. Something inexpensive, right? Since with this economic depression it is almost impossible for a junior in high school to find a job (I know from experience). So with that, I am going to throw out some ideas for inexpensive, yet great gifts.

First off, you can never, and I mean never, go wrong with a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a cute little teddy bear holding a sign that reads “I Love You”. It seems like something so cliched could never work, but that has got to be one of the best gifts. Most people aren’t looking for diamond earrings, or a gold necklace.

For a couple who can drive, a nice romantic dinner is always good. Eating dinner with the one you love, seperated only by a vase of flowers and 2 candles (and don’t forget your favorite dish =] ). Don’t forget to cap off the night maybe with a walk through town, and a kiss goodbye.

A movie is also a great gift. Take her to that movie she has been dying to see, anything to just spend some alone time together, even if you aren’t talking during the whole thing. Remember, any gift that comes fom your heart is a great gift on Valentine’s Day. If you can’t afford a gift, just go to his/her house, give him/her a big hug and kiss, and just say “I love you”, and I’m sure that’s enough to brighten their day more than you could ever imagine.
