If you are like me, then you must also have a space problem in your apartment. It seems I cannot find a way to make my things look good together. I am always in constant search for the perfect fit. For example, we had a darling coffee table that was perfect for the center of the room. In fact, this table made the entire room look good.

Problem was, we cannot make our projects on this table. Its height was too low that we had horrible back aches when we attempted to work on some scrapbooks there. So I had to try a bigger worktable but again, I was faced with a problem. It was too big and left no more room for anything. We could not see the TV because it was blocked. This was a very big problem for us, as we constantly host movie night parties for our friends. It seems like this problem could never be resolved – until we bought our own adjustable height table.

One would probably think that sdjustable height tables are common, especially since a lot of us live in space-limited apartments these days. Trust me, the adjustable height table solves the problem of cramped spaces very easily. However, it took as weeks to find such table that would suit are needs.

As we shopped around, most varieties we saw were too flimsy – the kind that is quickly set up but needs to be taken down after use. No, a card table is not what we needed. What we were looking for was adjustable height tables that was sturdy enough to hold a computer, a pile of books, art supply and heavy equipment. It seems like most companies that make these types of furniture assume that consumers go for portability and a cheap price over strength and quality when looking for adjustable height tables. If you have the same requirements that we did, then you might also be in for a long and ardous hunt before you find the adjustable height table which fits your needs.

Finally, our search ended at IKEA where we found almost what we looked for in adjustable height table. This table was of good quality, easy to adjust and very portable. Except for the fact that it was not the most attractive table ever made. We remedied its lack of beauty easily with by painting it black and making a collage pattern on top of it. Now that it is finished, it looks very beautiful. This new table makes our apartment almost perfect. It gets the work done and we can also use it for hanging out with friends or lounging about by ourselves.
