Buying a tent, the game is a fairly simple process. Most of them are very similar and you’re bound to please your kids with all this capital that you get. There are some features you’ll want to think well. Some things to think about: 

What type of tent floor? Some tents as teepees and have no bottom. Others have a thin fabric made of the same material as the walls of the tent. Many tents have a ground waterproof thicker which is very handy if you plan to take the tent to the outside or if you will allow food or beverages in the tent when its interior. If your tent has all types of soil, just in terms of providing a thick blanket or rug inside the tent just to keep busy feet of twisting words and drawing on the walls together. 

What type of roof? Some tents have a roof waterproof so do not buy one of those camping with some serious mind. In fact most of the tents have a mesh top that allows you to look on the children easily – a useful feature if you need to check that they are themselves behave or ensure they are safe. Tents can also get very hot, so a top mesh can help to more than one way. 

What type of structure? Some tents are “pop-up tents” which means that you unfold and it is just life. They are perfect if you know you tired of putting up and dismantling a tent or if you still have to take the tent down after play time due to space constraints. Other tents have poles that are assembled and threaded through the sleeves that add a bit more stability and longevity (pop-ups may gradually lose their “pop-up-ness”). These tents are certainly a little more effort and possibly assisted by an adult, but there is no significant price difference. 

Designed to play outside? Do you plan on taking frequent your tent outside? Play tents are usually not a way to stake the tent floor. They can easily fly away if you do not create your own method of fixing the floor. Many top mesh and no rain fly weather so far is discouraged. Velcro flaps do little to keep bugs either. 

What type of tent? Play tents come in all shapes and sizes. Plan accordingly if you want one big enough that an adult can slip in or if you’re convinced that you will need to crawl in periodically turbulent drag a child or two. Some come with tunnels set for added fun. If you stick with the same brand, you can easily create tent cities by combining all your tunnels and tents. Some tents have also been activities such as a ball pool or basketball. Your child may be more interested in a tent theme. You can find almost any type of theme you are looking for – princess castles, spaceships, school buses, etc.
