Qvc’s Great Returns Policy: Home Shopping Made Easy
This article explains QVC’s returns procedures. Where to send the item to, how to send it and what to include are all considered.
Let’s face it, we have all seen something on TV that looked great but when we actually received the item, it did not look as good as on TV. This is probably the biggest down side of home shopping in that you cannot try on and physically look at the item before purchase. QVC, however makes returning an item a breeze so buyers can be confident that they will receive something they actually want. Although QVC sells all different types of items I am going to focus on jewelry returns in this article. Almost all of the policies discussed here would apply to other items besides jewelry though.
QVC sends a return label with every item it sells and ships. This return label has 11 different choices for the reason why you are returning the item. Some of these are: I changed my mind, I didn’t like, Size did not fit, and product is defective. There is a square box next to each choice on the label that you just check off with whatever one you decide is the reason you are returning the item. Also, on the label is how you would like to be credited for the return. Choices for this are: replace with same item, exchange for different size, refund original method of payment or merchandise credit. Perhaps the best thing on the return label is whether you would like written confirmation that your return has been processed. This ensures that you received proper credit for what you returned.
QVC’s return policy for all jewelry is 30 days after you receive your item. To ensure that you get total credit for the item you are returning make sure you include everything that came with the jewelry including display case, vendor cards and any pouches. The vast majority of the time you will not get penalized for returning an item such as a ring without the case but it is always safer to include everything that came with the jewelry. As for shipping the item back to QVC there are basically two different ways to do this. You may select your own shipping agency such as the post office, Fedex, or UPS and return the item that way or you can print a Q return label from their website (qvc.com) which is basically a prepaid label. This total for shipping will then be deducted from the amount of your refund. However, if the item you are returning is defective then QVC will pay for the shipping. The Q return label is easier to use in the long run considering that you can just give your package to your mail man instead of having to go to a shipping center or the post office to mail it. Another advantage using this method is that insurance is already included on the Q return label so you would not need to purchase any. Also, by using the Q return label you can track your package through QVC.com with the order status option.
If you misplace your pack slip you can use the QVC Return form on QVC.com to send with your item. One thing that you want to avoid is sending jewelry items with other non-jewelry items. QVC has multiple return centers and certain items go to certain locations. For Jewelry, the return center is located at 1365 Enterprise Drive, West Chester, PA 19380.
In conclusion, buyers should feel great shopping at QVC. It is a huge deal to shoppers to have the option of returning an item that they do not want. With QVC’s return policy, they have made it a simple and fast transaction. Almost all jewelry items that are sent are processed within 2 days of receipt at the warehouse so there is usually little wait. So, keep on shopping!
