Shopping in The Rain
Just a rant.
You know what gets me angry? People who wait until it rains to go grocery shopping!
It might not sound like much, but imagine this. You work in a supper market. It’s nice and quiet.
Next thing you know, a storm is brewing, and people shove themselves in, load up their baskets, track water inside, complain that the floors are wet, and make it look like it’s Christmas Eve!
It’s chaos! Everyone makes it so you can’t do anything because they all park their carts in the middle of the aisle, or they’re not sure if they’re in the U.S. where they should walk on the right, or in Japan where they should walk on the left!
You have to weave in and out, all the while the rain is falling!
And then the thunder comes. Oh what a sound! A great boom, the lights flicker, and all of a sudden the line goes all the way to the end of the store!
You’re trying to make the store safe, if you’re the poor sap who works in maintenance at the time, and nobody really gives a rat’s behind. Seriously, they don’t!
And then, as quickly as it comes, the rain stops. Everyone is gone, and the store is dead for the next five or six hours. There are more people than needed. They were called in to help with the rush. There are messes everywhere, so there’s no way anyone can take a break now. It literally takes the rest of the shift to almost get things back in order.
This is the time you stop and think. You wonder why everyone thinks the sky is falling with the rain. You wonder why they make it more complicated than it has to.
And above all else, you wonder why you’re still working in a supermarket.

Same here. I love to sit at home and create. The rain helps with my creations.

i have noticed this, if its hot and sunny, no one to be seen, as soon as it rains they all come out of the wood works like ants and termites, lol! Maybe they are related to them in some way or other, me i love staying in when it rains and going out when the weather is hot.
