There are many misconceptions within art in general but Islamic art seems to be the most “misunderstood.” This article will discuss and disprove two major misconceptions within Islamic art; one being that Islamic art has a history of borrowing and therefore does not have art of their own and two being that Islam is anti-art and therefore cannot have art of their own.
