I wanted to continue with this topic of poker.  There are many types of poker.  I stick with Texas hold em.  Now I don’t recommend going up against the pros right away, unless your skill level is to that point.  I remember one of my times going against a pro and it was a very humbling experience.  The next time I tried it, I did do a lot better but in the end still lost.  You can read many books on the subject of poker but the best way to learn is to just go out and play.  If you don’t have access to a computer, I recommend heading to your nearest casino.  Many of them have limit games and you can have fun.  Of course for those more adventuress you can try the no limit tables.  Just about every casino has a way to keep track of your playing time and if nothing else you end up getting a meal comp or if playing long enough, you may even qualify for a room.  The main thing you want to keep in mind, go into this with the idea of just having fun.  Do not expect large payouts or get rick quick.
