10 Cool Flash Drives for Geeks on the Go
There is more to flash drives than memory storage. It’s about the technology, personality and the drive to be different.
Portable flash drives are a great way to save digital documents, music and photos that you want to transport from the computer at home to the computer at work or vice-versa. The portable flash drive is small enough to carry in a shirt pocket or clip to a keychain while containing enough digital space to store thousands of pages or hundreds of photos of your most important memories.

Robot

Robots are just simply cool. Use this robot flash drive and store up to 8GB of your favorite digital images or documents, and then clip to your keychain or slip it into an empty pocket for when you are on the go.

Star Wars Mimobot

Designer flash drives have warped into a place that is far, far away and have found themselves rubbing elbows with four of the most famous Star Wars characters in the world and beyond. These limited edition flash drives will quickly become sought after collectables in the Star Wars community with only 2,500 to 3,500 units available for each of the four characters. As an added bonus, fans will receive a universe of preloaded (removable) Star Wars wallpapers, desktop icons, original movie trailers and original audio of the Star Wars movie that will stirrup fond memories of youthful times gone by.
-
Severed Finger

This flash drive is maybe a bit morbid, but to some (like me) it is funny, so to strike up some interesting conservation with fellow office workers that catch a glimpse of the bloody severed finger poking out from the USB port of my laptop.
-
SwissFlash Flight Army Knife Flash Drive

Upon first glance this flash drive looks like something that millions of outdoor sportsmen would carry in their tackle boxes or clipped onto a belt buckle for the times when a bottle opener or knife is needed, but looks can be deceiving, because not only does this flash drive actually contain these and other survival tools, but also can store up to 16GB of your favorite digital content.
-

Obama Flash

Why, this is the most fitting tribute to the first bi-racial American President Barack Obama. President Obama used the power of the Internet and other digital technology to muster millions of first-time voters to win the highest office in the United States in 2009, and so, now anyone with ten dollars to spare can purchase their own Obama USB Flash Drive from Amazon.com to celebrate this landmark achievement. This flash drive can store up to 2GB of digital content in its waterproof case, and just like President Obama found it fitting to gift a preloaded iPod to the Queen of England containing his favorite campaign speeches, this flash drive contains a MP3 of his Presidential inaugural address to listen to again or share with your family and friends.

I think you are being a bit harsh by using the word ‘geek’ but I am an absolute tech-lover and gadges like this really take my fancy. A flash drive is the best accessory for a student. I am loving the transformer one, multipurpose one and the Star Wars one. Those are sensational pieces of loveliness! Image the severed finger poking out of your CPU. A brilliant article from you as ever, Nelson, I am pretty impressed as to how you found this!
